BNSSG Primary Care Apprenticeship Update

Running on Thursday 10 February, from 12.00 - 13.00

Organised by BNSSG Training Hub and Avon LMC, and with representatives from Healthier Together and local healthcare centres, this webinar will provide a succinct overview of the apprenticeships available in primary care.

This webinar will run during National Apprenticeships Week 2022 on Thursday 10 February, from 12.00 – 13.00, and is open for FREE to all primary care staff interested in learning more.

Apprenticeships in Primary Care Webinars

Parts 1 & 2 on Thursday 21 October & Thursday 4 November

How can apprenticeships benefit my practice? What is the apprenticeship levy? What are levy transfers? What are T Levels?

Do you have questions about the apprenticeships available in primary care — perhaps the questions above, perhaps a couple more?

This autumn’s Apprenticeships in Primary Care Webinars are here to provide answers — organised by BNSSG Training Hub, and to be delivered in collaboration with Healthier Together, Avon LMC, and HEE South West, these webinars will run on Thursday 21 October (from 12.00 – 14.00) and Thursday 4 November (from 12.00 – 13.30).

They will not only provide a useful overview of apprenticeships, levy options, and the national workforce context, but also explore standards for specific roles and professions: Nursing Associates (NAs), Trainee Nursing Associates (TNAs), Registered Nursing Degree Apprenticeships (RDNAs), and Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs). Part 1 on 21.10.21 will cover NAs, TNAs, and RDNAs, while Part 2 on 4.11.21 will cover ACPs.

How can you set up physiotherapy apprenticeships in your local area?

Look no further than HEE’s Physiotherapist Apprenticeship Employer Forum

To be held on Teams on Wednesday 18 November, from 10.30 to 13.00, this will be an opportunity for physiotherapy leads and apprenticeship / education leads to:

Ensure that service leads understand the apprenticeship model and how to implement it within their service area
Explore how to set up apprenticeships in physiotherapy, looking at examples from established provision nationally
Link you with your apprenticeship / education leads, to discuss how to implement locally
Link you with regional colleagues to share best practice and discuss ideas
Establish what provision we would like regionally, and how to procure this
Offer support from HEE and CSP
