Privacy Policy

It is important to keep your personal information safe and secure. This privacy policy outlines how it is collected, used, and shared when you visit www.bnssgtraininghub.com (henceforth referred to as “the Site”).

About us

BNSSG Training Hub is a data controller for your information; we are responsible for collecting, maintaining, and handling your personal information when you use our services.

There may be times in which we process your information. This means that we use it for a particular purpose and, therefore, on those occasions we may also be data processors The purposes for which we use your information are set out in this policy.

How and why we collect information about you

BNSSG Training Hub’s core function is to support the local workforce’s development, so that it can consistently and effectively meet the local population’s health and care needs, thereby improving clinical outcomes.

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain, anonymised information about your browsing device (e.g., computer, tablet, mobile), your web browser, Internet Protocol (IP) address, the country you’re visiting from, time zone, and some of the cookies installed on our device. When you browse the Site, we collect information about which web pages you view, how you interact with the Site, and what websites or search terms directed you to the Site.

This information is collected through the use of cookies; when you visit the Site, your web browser may store these small data files on your device’s hard drive, allowing us to gather information about your visit (as outlined above) and enabling faster load times when you return. You can set your browser to reject all cookies, or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use some parts of the Site.

We collect this information in order to better assess which parts of the Site to improve upon, to gauge how successful our marketing campaigns have been, and to enhance your experience of the Site generally.

Additionally, when you book on to one of our courses or events, or join our mailing list, we may collect the following information form you:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your mailing address
  • Your job title
  • Your telephone number
  • Your contact preferences

We collect this when you submit a form to us so that we can contact you in relation to the courses and events you have signed on to, or expressed an interest in; we can inform you, with your express permission, about courses and events that may be of interest to your work role; send you our monthly newsletter; and to put you in contact with training providers, so that they can properly deliver their services to you.

We share your personal information with MailChimp, which we use for our email campaigns, too. You can read more about how MailChimp uses your personal information here.

Your personal information may also be shared for the purposes of complying with the law (e.g., police, solicitors, insurance companies).

Cookies

Your rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information that we hold about you, and to ask that it be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you wish to do any of these, please send a message to zach.barber@nhs.net.

Data Retention

When you submit your details to us, we not hold it for any longer than is necessary. If it is no longer needed (e.g., a training event you booked on for has finished), we will delete it or make it anonymous by removing any and all details that could be used to identify you. If we have asked for your consent to process your personal data and have no other lawful grounds to continue doing, and you withdraw consent, we will delete your personal data.

Changes to this policy

We have the discretion to amend this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will send you an email. We advise you to check this page regularly, so that you are informed about what we do with your information. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this policy periodically and become aware of any amendments.

Your acceptance of this policy

By using the Site, you accept this policy. If you do not agree to it, please do not use the Site.
