HEE’s Genomics Education Programme (GEP) have announced funding for those whom wish to develop their knowledge of genomics and how it can be used in clinical practice.

NHS employees in England may apply for funding for individual CPPD modules, either standalone or up to four (postgraduate certificate) in the first instance. Some funding is available for those wishing to extend a previously awarded qualification, too, subject to the applicant meeting set criteria and funding availability.

The following seven universities have been commissioned to support this opportunity:

• Imperial College London
• Queen Mary University of London
• St George’s University of London (with King’s College London)
• University of Birmingham
• University of Cambridge
• University of Exeter
• University of Manchester

Each university is expected to ensure their modules will be open to students nationwide, however, with online options available.
