HEE South School of Pharmacy have announced funding to support the training of pre-registration pharmacy technicians (PTPTs) in general practice, from February 2021. HEE wish to work with practices to help train up to 30 PTPTs across the South, with GPs as the host employer, so as to enable a new pharmacy technician workforce with primary care experience.

An information webinar about this training was held on Monday 10 August, 2020, from 11.00 to 12.00. It covered how the £32,000 funding (available per apprentice) can be used, whom is eligible to join the apprenticeship, and more.
