Practice & PCN Management Development (PPMD)

The Practice & PCN Management Development (PPMD) Programme is a pan-BNSSG initiative supporting both aspiring and existing practice and PCN managers to develop, connect and thrive in their roles.

Through a growing programme of learning, peer support, events, practical resources and development pathways, PPMD helps managers at all stages of their careers build the knowledge, confidence and connections they need to lead effectively in a changing primary care environment.

The programme is delivered collaboratively by the BNSSG Training Hub, One Care, Avon LMC (ALMC) and the Institute of General Practice Management (IGPM), bringing together complementary expertise and support for the management workforce.

 

 

 

 

PPMD brings together management development opportunities into a clear, flexible offer, helping people access the right support, build their development over time and strengthen management capability across general practice and PCNs.

PPMD events and shared learning

PPMD delivers a varied programme of virtual and face-to-face events, including an annual conference and regular opportunities for shared learning. The programme combines timely operational content with broader leadership and development themes.

Events and learning activities provide:

  • practical learning that reflects current management challenges
  • opportunities to hear from subject specialists and system partners
  • dedicated space for peer networking, discussion and shared problem-solving
  • recorded webinars and selected workshop materials for continued learning
  • an ongoing platform for engagement and community building across BNSSG.
