Below is an alphabetical list of ongoing opportunities aimed at a multidisciplinary audience. If you have any questions about them, or if you would like to one of yours listed here, then please do get in touch.

Leadership for Empowered Communities and Personalised Care

What is this?

This programme, set to be run between October 2019 and April 2020, is co-facilitated by a team of national experts, made up of leaders, activists, and specialists in the field of co-production, community development, and personalised care, many of whom have lived experience.

It features the following:

  • Four one-day workshops, and one 24-hour residential and networking event

  • Action learning sets and webinars

  • A 'challenge' -- for leaders to try something out and reflect on their achievements with peers

  • One-to-one leadership coaching sessions

  • A Myers-Brigg (MBTI) analysis of your personality archetype

  • A 360-degree feedback diagnostic

The programme will cover:

  • Personalised care -- what it means, and exploring how to implement its elements locally, including care and support planning, personal health budgets, and social prescribing

  • The history of personalisation -- what the movement teaches us about leading change now and in the future

  • Building a business case for building stronger communities

  • Best practice and international innovation, including timebanking, unlocking community skills and assets through nurturing micro-enterprise & evaluating for social value

  • And more...

When is this?

This programme will commence on Wednesday 2 October. The second session - the 24-hour residential and networking event - will be held across Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 November. The programme will then continue in the new year.

Where is this?

All of the full-day sessions will be held at the Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre, in London, whilst the residential event will be at Burleigh Court, Loughborough.

2019 Children's Nursing Conference

What is this?

Centred around the theme of Prevention, this conference will be an opportunity to not only celebrate and refresh your knowledge of children's nursing, but also to build connections with like-minded individuals who you might otherwise not interact with!

It is aimed at:

  • All Primary, Community, and Social Care nurses who work with children (including practice and school nurses)

  • All Primary and Community Care AHPs who work with children

  • Health visitors

  • Midwives

  • SENCOs

  • Social workers
